Cautious Outlook After Tech Correction
QQQ shows clear weakness following strong momentum into the end of June. After closing above EMA50 on June 30 QQQ opened higher on July 1 but quickly reversed to close below its 5 9 and 20 EMAs. The July 2 drop to 712.60 broke multi day support and failed to recover meaningfully despite minor bounces later in the week. EMAs remain flat indicating no new trend direction yet. SPY is holding above key levels and closing higher on July 6 but does not confirm a broad recovery yet as QQQ underperforms. VIX is declining and supports calm sentiment despite sector rotation. Mixed economic signals persist with job growth softening but inflation concerns easing.
